SEQUOYAH MEMORIAL HOSPITAL SLEEP DISORDER CENTER

Providing a local, convenient resource for our community’s healthcare needs is the goal of Sequoyah Memorial Hospital. It is our responsibility as the primary healthcare system to remain consistently aware of what our patients need and deserve.

Sequoyah Memorial partnered with AccuHealth Sleep Lab Services to install and begin the Sequoyah Memorial Hospital Sleep Disorder Center. A sleep study is required to diagnose and in some cases, treat sleep apnea.

The SMH Sleep Disorder Center is available for overnight sleep studies prescribed by a patient’s primary care physician. The hospital provides a comfortable, quiet room in which a patient may spend the night to have the study conducted. Results are then read by Maroun Tawk, M.D., to determine irregularities in a patient’s sleep breathing patterns.
